Der Film handelt von der an der Schwelle vom Kind zum Erwachsenen stehenden Paula, die unter Isolierten und beengten Zuständen in einer industriellen Kleinstadt aufwächst und sich eine Parallelwelt einrichtet in der sie sich austesten kann.
Sie geht dort mit ihren verschiedenen Charaktereigenschaften um und lotet Grenzen aus, hatallerdings nicht die Möglichkeit zur Reflektion mit anderen. Sie lernt ihren Schulfreund
Benno kennen, wird aber Tags drauf von jungen Leuten überrascht und reißt mit ihnen aus.
Die Gruppe zieht ins King Count Haus, in dem gerade ein utopisches Spiele –
Gesellschaftsmodell entsteht. Anhand der Spiele erlangen die Figuren Wissen, erfahren ihre Grenzen und lernen sich auf andere einzustellen. Beispiele dafür sind Paulas Lust an der (körperlichen)Auseinandersetzung, Grenzüberschreitung des Persönlichen Freiraums, vorläufiger Hoffnungsverlust durch Stagnation usw...

FAF is a creative documentary dealing with new ways of political and democratic movements. In search of possible answers to how history and the way it is told influence our political beliefs, this film is aiming to reveal what our realities are built on today.
These times of hyperconnectivity harbour a new desire for a clearer overview concerning the relations of political power and socio-economic structures.
Also, There is a rising need for self-organization and activism due to lethargy and the loss of interest in politics in general.
Stylistically this film is takes on the format of a „history channel documentary", This means an objective sounding, but nevertheless authoritative narrator, lower third straps, interviews with experts and recreations of the past, as for instance reenactment scenes with Greeks fighting under white columns.
As part of my concept for FAF the story begins to steadily fray out, becoming more contradictory, causing irritations and therefore leading the audience to raise doubts about the seemingly fact-driven narration.
Two new approaches are discernible at present. On one hand there are communities building up in which do-it-yourself practices are encouraged as the hope to find a representative or saviour within parliamentary politics has waned under years of disillusionment.
On the other hand the concept of liquid democracy is emerging, wherein a process of democratization is sought to be attained with the help of the internet and its means of networking: Citizens have a direct vote on certain issues and it is made possible to choose expert personnel for specific subjects beyond the confines of party systems.
